This unique 6-8 month workshop combines the best aspects of a journal club with a hands-on systematic review course. Designed specifically for surgical residents, recent graduates, and medical students, this 2-in-1 workshop will not only teach you how to critically appraise research articles but also guide you through the process of conducting a systematic review from start to finish.
Participants will meet every 3-4 weeks for 2-hour sessions, where they will engage in both theoretical discussions and practical exercises. Most sessions will include a journal club
component where participants will learn to critique articles, with insights that will directly inform the practical work of developing their systematic review.
This course requires a commitment to complete a manuscript. For those interested in listening in without working on a review, an auditing option is available by Zoom only. This doesn’t require registration, but you should make sure you are in the “Systematic Review Workshop” group to receive links.
